In my time working there, I learned how to handle overloads of work and how to compensate for lack of appropriate staffing while maintaining my own job title. A typical day at work included balancing 2-3 different job positions at the will of the manager on duty. The only item I can say was the hardest part of my job, was all the lifting cases of sodas and water. I really enjoyed the customers that came into the store, I also enjoyed my co-workers. ![]() I would helped the day shift personal with money orders, western union, lottery, while the office personal is working on the deposit and double checking the night before closing paper work. When I first stared working at food lion I was working the evening shift as an office personal, after about 1 year, I was moved to the day shift as a cashier.
